PALMER TENNIS CLUB MEMBERSHIP RULES AND REGULATIONS

 

Club Liability: The Palmer Inn and Tennis Club will not be responsible for the loss of or damage to property, including but not limited to motor vehicles, equipment, or money of any members, guests, or visitors. The Palmer Inn is not responsible for any damage to or loss of personal property left with an employee. By acceptance of and continuous of membership in The Palmer Inn, each member for him/herself and guests waives any right of action against the Palmer Inn, its officers, agents, and employees for any personal injury or damage to property arising out of the use of the Palmer Inn facilities. The Palmer Inn is not responsible for damages caused by the action of other participants or guests.

Club Property: No member shall take away from the grounds or buildings any property belonging to The Palmer Inn. Any member who causes the destruction, defacement, or injury of whatever nature to any property of The Palmer Inn or who is responsible for the same shall pay the cost of repair or replacement of said property.

Membership Dues: Payments are due by the 1st of the Month and will be considered lapsed after the 10th. If payment has not been received by the 10th, a reinstatement fee of $35 will be applied to your account. Guest fees may not be paid in lieu of a non-paid, lapsed membership.

 

Identification: All members will be required to have on their person the club issued Membership Card and ready to present upon request. Failure to provide proof of membership may result in court expulsion, up to and included revocation of membership.

Discounts: In order to qualify for Membership Discounts, proof of membership must be presented at time of service. Membership Discounts are only applicable to the person named on the membership card.  Please refer to our website, www.ThePalmerInnandTennis.com for applicable Membership Discounts as they are subject to change without notice.

Club Property: No member shall take away from the grounds or buildings any property belonging to The Palmer Inn. Any member who causes the destruction, defacement, or injury of whatever nature to any property of The Palmer Inn or who is responsible for the same shall pay the cost of repair or replacement of said property.

Notices: No notices shall be posted at The Palmer Inn, except with the consent of management.

Children: Children, under the age of (12) years will not be permitted to stay unattended on the club premises.

Complaints and Suggestions: Complaints concerning the services of The Palmer Inn or any mistakes or defects, and any suggestions as to service or internal management of The Palmer Inn and Tennis Club  shall be addressed to the Owner  in writing and shall by signed by the member or members. The correction of employees by members is prohibited.

Inactive Status: (available to 6 and 12 month members): A member in good standings may request inactive status of their membership for medical, travel, or employment reasons. The Palmer Inn and Tennis Club is to be notified in writing at the time the membership is to be put on hold. Inactive status is granted for a minimum of 30 consecutive days and a maximum of 60 consecutive days. Any additional time needed beyond this will be addressed on a case by case basis. A member may resume active status after notifying us of his or her return in writing. No member will be given credit for inactive status without prior written notification to The Palmer Inn. MEMBERS CANNOT PAY A GUEST FEE IN LIEU OF ACTIVATING MEMBERSHIP

League Play: All team players must be an active member of The Palmer Inn and Tennis Club. Team captains are to turn in all team rosters and schedules and ensure all players have paid membership dues to The Palmer Inn  PRIOR  to league play beginning. Failure to pay prior to the start of the season will result in $25 penalty per player not paid.

Team Memberships:– If you have a regular team membership ($120.00) you can only practice 1 time per week and participate in team matches DURING SEASON ONLY. You are not able to pay a guest fee and play at other times or reserve courts.

Guests: Any member bringing a guest is responsible for ensuring the guest fee  of $6.00  is paid PRIOR to play. Members will be responsible for payment if their guest does not pay. IF THE GUEST DOES NOT PAY THE FEE THE MEMBER WHO RESERVED THE COURTS WILL BE CHARGED THE GST FEE IN ADDITION TO A $25.00 PENALTY.

Court Reservations:  All courts are to be reserved in advance as court play does rotate. All names, including guests, are to be given at the time the courts are reserved. Courts can be reserved up to 48 hours in advance. Play is restricted to the court reserved. You can book your court online at www.ThePalmerInnandTennis.com, or contact the Front Office at 321-631-9445 and a representative will be able to assist you. Limit of 1 court per member unless otherwise approved by pro. Hours of Operation are 8:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. All courts must be cleared by 9:00 P.M. with the exception of league play. Player will be limited to 1 ½ hours unless no others are waiting with the exception of league play. Players must sweep and line courts after play so that they are ready for others. Please sweep all the way to the fences. Members are responsible for checking daily schedule due to last minute changes and/or maintenance. Do not play on closed courts unless authorized by the pro. When tournaments, competitions, or other functions are held at The Palmer Inn, the tennis center will be used for these events. Members forgo use at these times.

Night Play:– Courts available until 9pm. Players must lock court gates and bathroom gates. Court lights must be switched to the OFF position. For your security courts 1 and 2 will remain lit for 11 minutes, courts 3 & 4 go off immediately when turned off, and courts 5 &6 remain lit for 18 minutes after turning them off. Only courts 1 & 2 will be open for night play unless 3 or more courts are being used or team matches.

Ball Hoppers:  Ball hoppers are only allowed if a court is available next to a vacant court. No ball hoppers will be allowed next to match play. Please advise the front desk when reserving court for hopper use.

Etiquette: Proper tennis attire and regulation shoes are required at all times. Shirts must be worn on the courts. Use proper tennis etiquette at all times, players are expected to follow “The Code, The Player’s Guide for Unofficiated Matched.” Publication of the USTA. Courts can be closed at the discretion of management; players who refuse to clear the courts or use them when they are closed risk suspension of their playing privileges at The Palmer Inn and Tennis Club. The Palmer Inn is not responsible for injury due to noncompliance of the rules.

Expulsion: Any member infringing on the provisions of The Rules and Regulation of The Palmer Inn, or conducting themselves in an unbecoming manner shall be subject to expulsion from The Palmer Inn without repayment of membership.  Any member expelled from The Palmer Inn for non-payment of fees or membership dues or for any other cause, shall not, under any circumstances, be admitted to the grounds of The Palmer Inn as a guest of any other member

General Pool Rules: Below are the General Rules to be followed at the Pool facility:

-No Lifeguard on Duty, swim at your own risk

-No Diving

-Palmer Inn Members and Guests only (proof of either may be requested at any given time)

-Children under 12 must have Adult supervision

-Shower prior to pool entry

-No Animals allowed in Pool or on Pool Deck

-No Food or Drink in Pool

-No Glass allowed in the Pool, Pool Deck, or Pool vicinity.

-Proper swim attire required

-Maximum bathing load is 20 persons

 

Pool Hours are 8am-Dusk, weather permitting. Staff reserves the right to close the pool due to inclement weather, facility care/management, or at their discretion based on safety and Health Code Regulations.

 

Failure to follow these rules could result in expulsion from facility, up to and including revocation of membership.

The Palmer Inn and Tennis Club Rules and Regulations document contains important information pertaining to my membership. I understand that I should consult a Club Representative if I have any questions about the information contained in the Rules and Regulations document.

Since the information, policies, and benefits described in the Rules and Regulations document are necessarily subject to change, I acknowledge that revisions to the Rules and Regulations document may occur. All such changes will be communicated through official notices.

I understand that revised information may supersede, modify, or eliminate existing policies. A copy of this Rules and Regulations document has been given to me to retain for future reference and/or I have been provided with the following website address, www.ThePalmerInnandTennis.com, where I can obtain an electronic copy of the Rules and Regulations document for my retention.

I agree to familiarize myself with its contents and comply with the information provided. Furthermore, I acknowledge that this Rules and Regulations document is neither a contract nor a legal document. I understand this document is not intended to cover every situation which may arise during my membership, but is simply a general guide to the goals, policies, practices, benefits, and expectations of The Palmer Inn and Tennis Club.

I, the undersigned, have received the Rules and Regulations document and I understand that it is my responsibility to read and comply with the policies contained in this document and any revisions made to it.

GENERAL RELEASE OF LIABILITY

The Palmer Inn and Tennis Club

THEREFORE under the terms of this Agreement and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, do hereby release and forever discharge The Palmer Inn and Tennis Club, of Echerd Hospitality, Inc, in the City of Rockledge, in the State of Florida (Herein after the “Releasee”) including their agents, employees, successors and assigns, and their respective heirs, personal representatives, affiliates, successors and assigns, and any and all persons, firms or corporations liable or who might be claimed to be liable, whether or not herein named, none of whom admit any liability to the undersigned, but all expressly denying liability, from any and all claims, demands, damages, actions, causes of action or suits of any kind or nature whatsoever, which I now have or may hereafter have, arising out of or in any way relating to any and all injuries and damages of any and every kind, to both person and property, and also any and all injuries and damages that may develop in the future, as a result of or in any way relating to the following: Tennis Courts/Facilities, Outdoor decking, Pool, Pool area, General outdoor facilities/areas, Pond, Pond area and Walkways and Parking lots.

 

It is understood and agreed that this Agreement is made and received in full and complete settlement and satisfaction the causes of action, claims and demands mentioned herein; that this Release contains the entire Agreement between the parties; and that the terms of this Agreement are contractual and not merely a recital. Furthermore, this Release shall be binding upon the undersigned, and his respective heirs, executors, administrators, personal representatives, family members, guests, successors and assigns. This Release shall be subject to and governed by the laws of the State of Florida.

This Release has been read and fully understood by the undersigned and has been explained to me.
